Medical Staffing Manager The closing date is 12 June 2026 Are you ready to play a pivotal role at the heart of medical workforce excellence? We're looking for a committed, organised, and motivated Medical Staffing Manager to join our Medical Staffing and Education Department. You'll work collaboratively with a wide range of internal teams and external partners to ensure that our doctors receive the highest quality support, development, and governance throughout their careers. The role will have responsibility for two members of staff and will work closely with all levels of medical colleagues. Main duties of the job This post works within the Medical Staffing and Education Department. This team works closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to oversee the high quality education and training at all levels of medical staff, recruitment, induction and development of Consultants and SAS Doctors, monitoring and supporting revalidation, appraisal and job planning; providing expert advice on terms and conditions and coordinating medical developments to build and support the leadership journey from medical student to consultant psychiatrist. This post will be responsible for providing a high quality medical staffing service to Consultants and SAS Doctors, ensuring the Trust meets its statutory and NHSE requirements in relation to medical staffing issues. The post will work closely with the Head of Medical Workforce and Medical Education Manager. To develop and maintain multiple information systems to support the recruitment, management and administration of doctors in the Trust; this will involve a range of systems including but not limited to Excel spreadsheets, ESR, TempRE, E‑Roster, Trac and e‑job plan and e‑appraisal platforms. During your continued employment with the Trust, you have a personal responsibility to notify your manager as soon as possible should there be any changes to your right to work status. Regrettably, if the role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Trust’s eligibility criteria, the Trust is unable to extend your employment beyond the expiration of your current visa. The Trust is not responsible or liable for ensuring that your employment continues after this period. As a condition of continuous employment, it is essential you maintain the legal right to work in the United Kingdom throughout the duration of your employment with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (BDCFT). Any change in your right‑to‑work status, including but not limited to visa expiration, revocation or denial of renewal, may impact your eligibility for employment with the Trust. It is your responsibility to promptly inform your Line Manager of any changes in your right‑to‑work status immediately and to provide necessary documentation for verification purposes. Failure to obtain or renew your visa in a timely manner is a breach of employment conditions and will result in termination of your employment. Person Specification Qualifications and Training Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience Further training and experience to diploma level or equivalent Evidence of continuous development Post graduate diploma in HR management or equivalent experience Experience Experience of working in Medical Staffing and development within complex organisations Experience of leading a team with demonstrable success in delivering targets Project Management/Monitoring HR operational experience Skills and knowledge Specialist knowledge of medical career structures and medical terms and conditions of service; Consultants, SAS and Resident doctors Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate medical staffing queries Personal resilience and drive to succeed—self‑motivated to achieve against targets Able to think and plan strategically, tactically and creatively, and prioritise competing demands Ability to approach work related problems in a structured and analytical manner and to solve problems in a structured and analytical manner Excellent IT and analytical skills (Microsoft Packages; Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) Working knowledge of ESR, Trac, job planning and appraisal platforms Organisational and time management skills Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
