Field Technician

JOB PURPOSE

Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the entire Palmetto State Outdoors facility. Provide the highest level of customer service

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist customers with their purchasing decisions.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Greet customers in a timely matter.
• Resolve customer issues to the best of your ability.
• Maintain the pro shop in all of which will include sweeping, dusting, restocking, fronting, etc.
• Operate lawn mowing equipment, including but not limited to zero turn mower, trimmer, and tractor/bush hog.
• Keep all carts in working order by washing and preforming routine maintenance.
• Fill trap machines and keep them in working order; help to rearrange the course as needed.
• Keep grounds clean, safe, and free of any hazards.
• A commitment to following directions is required.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience operating machinery.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills, and able to deal with high customer volume.
• Working knowledge of shotgun and sporting clays basics
• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication both orally and written.
• Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, communicate and generally interact with people in a positive way.
• Positive attitude, goal driven, customer service oriented, self-motivated and focused on the overall strategic picture of the organization.
• Willingness to learn is a must.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The working environment is both indoors and outdoors, with 75% of the duties being outdoors. Exposure to various weather elements and environmental conditions on a regular basis. May be exposed to cleaning materials. This position may require regular evening and weekend work and may include holidays as well. You may have to deal with challenging customers from time to time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: Reading, writing, and speaking on all necessary forums, hearing, standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lb, climbing, stooping and sitting.


Must be at least 18 years old.
