Position Overview We’re looking for a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our New York City team. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to keeping our fleet operating efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled basic maintenance and inspections on vehicles (cars, vans, and trucks). Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform transport to dealership for repairs. Complete preventive maintenance and maintain detailed service records. Conduct safety and compliance inspections to meet DOT and environmental standards. Manage parts inventory and coordinate repair schedules with the operations team. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist occasionally with maintenance of field equipment and small engines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or ASE certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a fleet, automotive, or diesel mechanic. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record. Basic computer/tablet skills for logging maintenance and repairs.
