Clinical Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Access Behavioral Health Services Inc. is looking to hire a substance abuse counselor at our Boise location. An ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the field of substance abuse treatment, finds passion in working with individuals obtaining recovery, commits to following strength-based recovery tools and ideologies, and enjoys working with a dynamic team of other professionals. Access Behavioral Health provides comprehensive outpatient services including intensive outpatient, outpatient, case management, individual counseling, group counseling, co-occurring and gender specific treatment, adults and adolescents, assessment, and on sight substance testing. While working in the substance abuse treatment department counselors are encouraged and expected to collaborate with other departments to ensure clients receive comprehensive treatment to meet all needs. Benefits $39-50 per hour plus room for growth Not billable hour

Qualifications At minimum a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other appropriate field. Intact and current standing with the bureau of occupational licensing to provide individual psychotherapy. Experience working in substance abuse treatment Comprehensive ASAM training/education preferred CADC or ACADC preferred Ability to pass an enhanced criminal background check Desired Competencies Recovery and strength-based orientation to treatment Experience working on WITS Basic computer operational skills Proficient organizational skills Advanced oral and written communication skills Responsibilities Follow with appropriate and recognized ethical codes for licensure/certification or the NASW Code of Ethics (whichever is the most restrictive) at all times as appropriate for service delivery and rules of conduct. Complete substance abuse assessments and determine level of care need per ASAM criteria. Complete Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments. Complete new client intakes into treatment including treatment planning and schedule. Facilitate evidence-based practice groups to treat substance abuse. Provide individual substance abuse counseling. Provide Case Management services as needed. Complete daily individual and group case notes. Attend weekly supervision.
