Description:

A banquet server is responsible for setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages to large groups at weddings or corporate gatherings, and clearing tables . They ensure a seamless dining experience, maintain cleanliness, and break down the venue after the event concludes. 

• Event Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and place settings according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Food & Beverage Service: Deliver plated meals or maintain buffets, ensuring freshness and responding to specific dietary needs.
• Guest Relations: Welcome guests, assist with seating, and provide courteous, timely responses to requests or complaints.
• Table Maintenance: Clear dishes and glassware between courses, replenish drinks, and wipe down stations.
• Event Breakdown: Clear all remaining dinnerware, pack up linens and decorations, and assist with general room cleanup.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all food handling safety and sanitation regulations. 

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, carry heavy trays, and lift up to 30-50 pounds. 
• Customer Service: Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent verbal communication skills. 
• Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and coordinate efficiently with kitchen staff and event coordinators. 
• Flexibility: Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as banquet events are frequently scheduled outside normal business hours.
• Certifications: May require or prefer a high school diploma, previous restaurant experience, and/or state-approved alcohol service certifications (like TIPS).
