Pipe Fitter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate willpossess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in ashipyard setting. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling,installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with industry codesand standards. Responsibilities Accuratelyinterpret and translate complex blueprints and technical drawings to planpipe layout and installation sequences within piping systems. Cut,bend, and thread pipes using various hand and power tools like pipecutters, bending machines, and threading machines to achieve precisedimensions. Ripout, repair, target, layout, fabricate, install and test marine pipingsystems onboard ships in various stages of repair and modernization. Positionand install pipes within designated locations on the ship, ensuring properalignment and support structures are in place. Utilizebasic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirementsaccurately. Collaboratewith other trades on site to ensure seamless project execution. Experience Atleast 5+ years experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within theshipyard industry is required. Strongmechanical knowledge with a focus on pipeline installation andmaintenance. Familiaritywith relevant codes and standards governing piping systems. Proficientin using hand and power tools necessary for pipe assembly andinstallation.
