Position Summary: MAJOR FUNCTION NJ State licensed Skin Care Specialist and/or Cosmetologist (1+ year experience preferred) who will provide high quality and accurate assessments of formula performance according to defined test protocols, gestures and rating scales for makeup remover and skincare products. A successful candidate will possess high attention to detail along with a strong understanding of skincare attributes, facial anatomy, and skin tones/undertones, combined with expertise in skincare and make up application techniques. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES General Responsibilities Product Evaluation/Feedback: Conducts product tests following standardized protocols, providing detailed, high-quality assessments of formula performance and attributes (i.e. texture, application, finish, and other relevant performance attributes) on study volunteers. Provides technical expertise to scientists and lab partners, translating scientific findings into applicable insights. Documentation & Reporting: Keeps accurate and detailed records of product evaluations, application techniques, and other relevant information. Takes photographs to support report findings as needed/required of test design. Collaboration : Develops strong relationships with the evaluation team and volunteers. Logistical Coordination: Coordinates product samples, updates project tracking files, works with our volunteer recruitment team from initialization to completion of studies. JOB REQUIREMENTS Active NJ Skin Care Specialist and/or Cosmetology License (Required) General knowledge and experience working with skincare categories spanning serums, toners, creams, eye creams, and make up remover products. Experience applying makeup products (mascara, lipstick, foundation) to other people. Spa or Medi Spa experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) and is confident in learning new software programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to clearly convey findings in an objective manner. Self-motivated, driven, and team player with exceptional organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and flexibility to work on multiple projects. Ability to work on site in Clark, NJ 3-4 days a week. DIMENSIONS Must be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Must possess meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must possess the ability to self-monitor the quality of one’s work and take ownership for the final product or output. Must feel comfortable interacting closely with our study volunteers. Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments at once and be adaptable to changing test needs.
