General Manager - Freshies Wood Fired Pizza

Freshies is looking for a motivated, hands-on, and experienced General Manager to lead our Freshies Wood Fired Pizza Truck. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced food service, community events, team leadership, and creating a memorable customer experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily operations of the Freshies Wood Fired Pizza Truck, ensuring events and service run smoothly from setup through breakdown.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support food truck team members.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure every guest receives the Freshies experience.
• Oversee food preparation, product quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized food truck and work area.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.
• Monitor inventory, product usage, ordering needs, and waste control.
• Assist with menu execution, special events, catering opportunities, and promotional activities.
• Coordinate event logistics, including setup, service flow, staffing needs, and communication with internal teams.
• Operate in a hands-on leadership role by assisting with cooking, serving, cleaning, loading, unloading, and other duties as needed.
• Support sales goals, profitability, labor control, and operational efficiency.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and feedback professionally.
• Maintain company equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.
• Represent Freshies and R.H. Foster professionally at community events and public-facing locations.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, restaurant, deli, catering, food truck, or convenience retail leadership experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• ServSafe certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull items as needed.
• Valid driver's license along with ability to safely transport food truck and attached trailer.
