Underwriting InternWe are currently seeking high-performing, eager college student interested in starting their career in Underwriting, majoring in Insurance Risk/Business Risk/Business to participate in Novacore's 2027 Summer Internship Program, supporting our PUA (Professional Liability) program Specialty Insurance Programs | Novacore.All internship opportunities are paid and offer mentorship, peer interaction, project work, executive visibility, volunteer opportunities, and networking events.Our internship program will run from May 17th through August 5th.This is a hybrid internship with 3 days required onsite at the Oak Brook, IL, office and 2 days' work from home.Responsibilities:Fully assist team members as neededInteract with agents to provide superior customer service via phone and emailReview submissions for completeness, accuracy, and make requests for informationAssist with policy issuance, binding, and billingReview documentation & prepare files under Underwriting guidanceFollow up on open items and request additional information to finalize tasksAttend team meetings and perform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Strong attention to detail & focusCustomer-focused attitude and ability to maintain strong relationshipsStrong verbal & written communication skillsStrong analytical & critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and stay organizedAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment & demonstrate teamwork capabilities
