Description

• Conduct patient evaluations in inpatient or outpatient settings, creating tailored treatment plans for individual recovery journeys
• Implement therapeutic interventions concentrating on mobility, strength, balance, and functional improvements
• Work alongside nurses, doctors, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to enhance recovery outcomes
• Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic aims, discharge protocols, and home exercise regimens
• Maintain detailed logs of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility standards and compliance guidelines
• Engage in interdisciplinary care team discussions and rounds to ensure comprehensive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from a recognized institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Certification in specialized areas (like neurology or geriatrics) is advantageous but not mandatory
