Nealy Pierce is partnering with a respected nonprofit hospital system in the Charleston, SC area to hire a full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist (PT). This is a permanent, hospital-based acute care role ideal for experienced acute PTs or clinicians transitioning into the setting from other hospital-based backgrounds.

• Broad acute caseload : ICU, PICU, trauma, neuro, post-surgical, total joint replacement, medical/surgical
• Cross-training encouraged across hospital units for versatile clinical skill development
• PICU exposure available - rare in most acute PT roles
• ~10 patients per day with generous treatment times and no rigid productivity quotas
• Minimal weekend coverage with additional shifts available at PRN pay rate
• Structured onboarding and mentorship for new grad PTs or experienced clinicians transitioning from other hospital settings

Day-to-Day:

• Acute care caseload averaging 10 patients per day
• Interdisciplinary rounds with physicians, nursing, and the full rehab team
• Integrated hospital-wide EMR
• Multiple schedule configurations available (4x10s, 5x8s, and other options)
• Collaborative team of PTs, OTs, and SLPs across units

Compensation & Benefits:

Ideal Candidate:

• DPT or MPT from an accredited program
• Active or pending South Carolina PT license
• New grad PTs and experienced acute care PTs welcome
• Strong communicator and team collaborator
• NCS, CCS, or other specialty certification a plus but not required
• Passion for hospital-based, evidence-informed acute care
