Travel Pharmacist – Pharmacy

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who thrives in a clinical environment, is comfortable working night shifts , and is passionate about medication safety and high-quality patient care.

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.

• Dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy protocols.

• Monitor patients for potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic concerns.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.

• Provide drug information and clinical recommendations when needed.

• Ensure accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and documentation.

• Follow all applicable pharmacy, hospital, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.

• Support medication safety and quality-improvement initiatives.

• Provide professional and compassionate service to patients and the healthcare team.

• Work efficiently and independently during overnight hours.

• Excellent opportunity to gain valuable contract pharmacy experience

• Active California Pharmacist License – required

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent hospital/acute-care pharmacy experience preferred

• Current BLS certification – if required by the facility

• Experience with medication order verification and dispensing

• Strong knowledge of medication safety, drug interactions, and clinical pharmacy practices

• Experience working with electronic medication/health records preferred

• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy systems and automated dispensing technology preferred

• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during night shifts

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
