Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN-Circulator for a 13-week Operating Room travel position requiring 2 years of OR experience and a Maine or compact RN license

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 3 ORs and 2 procedure rooms
• Circulator role supporting Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, ENT, Urology, and Ophthalmology cases
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Stryker, Storz, and Steris equipment
• EMR: EPIC
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend hours required (36 hours unless otherwise noted)
• On-call required, including rotating weekend on-call from Friday 4:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM and rotating holiday call
• Float policy applies within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required upon consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Scrub experience preferred but not required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across multiple surgical specialties
• Facility will provide hospital scrubs in blue
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local, which affects pay rate eligibility
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract at the manager's discretion
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
