A growing technology services company is seeking a dependable  Low Voltage / IT Field Technician to join our field operations team. We provide technology installation and support services for commercial customers throughout the Phoenix metro area preferably in the east valley.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling
• Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, and test network cabling
• Install data drops, patch panels, racks, J-hooks, and related infrastructure
• Install and troubleshoot network equipment, access points, and switches
• Perform basic CCTV and low-voltage device installations
• Assist with POS, workstation, printer, and other IT equipment deployments
• Perform service calls and troubleshoot cabling/network connectivity issues
• Read floor plans, cable schedules, and basic construction drawings
• Document completed work with photos, test results, and service notes
• Maintain a professional appearance while working at customer locations
• Keep job sites organized and clean

Qualifications

• 2+ years of low-voltage, structured cabling, or field IT experience preferred
• Experience terminating RJ45 jacks and patch panels
• Ability to test and troubleshoot copper cabling
• Familiarity with commercial construction environments
• Comfortable working from ladders and above ceilings
• Must have reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Smartphone required for field communication and documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
• Strong attendance and reliability are essential

Experience with  fiber optics, CCTV, access control, network equipment, or Fluke testing equipment is a plus.

We are looking for technicians who take ownership of their work. Candidates should be reliable, communicate well, arrive on time, and be able to complete assignments without constant supervision.

There is room for advancement for technicians who demonstrate strong technical skills, leadership, and reliability.

Compensation

$30/hour nonnegotiable, with the possibility of a $2-3 raise plus milage after 3 months based on performance.

Higher compensation may be available for technicians with advanced structured cabling, fiber, networking, or project leadership experience after a certain amount of time with the company and performance review, but all techs will start off at a nonnegotiable base pay rate of $30/hour.
