Medical Assistant - Front Office Specialist (3417) Overview Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Category: Other Positions Description US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office Specialist to join our team at HeartPlace located in Allen, TX Position Summary: This position will be responsible for Medical Front and Back Office duties. Responsibilities: Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients’ charts. Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test Fill out testing orders per physician Send out prescriptions per physician orders Orders & explain testing to the patient Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Set up procedures with hospitals to include filling out hospital form and faxing them back Review procedure and instructions with the patient Escort patients to check-out Check voicemails & enter messages into eCW Return patient calls/tasks, even if only to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail, and that an answer is being sought Ensure that charts have been checked, and the proper paperwork is included Travel required Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics Support check in and Check-out process Other related duties as assigned Requirements: Completion of a Medical Assistant program Cardiac Experience preferred Medical Front office experience Why Choose Us?
