Interior Design Assistant - Contract

Interior Design Assistant - Contract Location: Hybrid role - Parsippany, NJ 35 hour work week Responsibilities Responsible and accountable for responding to email in the Interior Design mailbox, with an expectation of a 24-hour response rate. Review design submittals for renovation and conversion projects as required. Assist the Renovation Team in writing PIPs (Property Improvement Plans). May need to assist with SPEXX as required. Assist ID leads with paint flyers and manufacturer direct layouts. Participate in company events, take initiative, and contribute to the overall culture and success of Client Hotels and Resorts. Qualifications 1-2 years in hospitality design. Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects and initiatives. Amiable and flexible member of a highly collaborative team. Motivated self‑starter and team player. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD 2007 (or higher), Revit, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, InDesign, and Excel. SPEXX software knowledge is a plus but not required. Experience in PIP writing is a plus but not required. General understanding of project management, design products and finishes, and the procurement process. Experience with multiple hotel brands’ standards across multiple market tiers. Confident speaker, comfortable client facing and speaking with Owners. Experience preparing design presentations, design mood boards, writing FF&E specifications, and reviewing shop drawing submittals. Ability to travel domestically (10 %) and may need to travel from time to time to existing hotels to take photos on short notice. Education Bachelor’s degree in interior design from a FIDER or CIDA accredited program or equivalent. #J-18808-Ljbffr
