Crouse’s Hospitalist Services team is hiring a Per Diem Physician to provide clinical treatment for patients in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner. Pay Range: $150/hr. Available Schedules: Days, evenings and nights - six and nine-hour shifts.

Physician Position Responsibilities:

• Provides professional medical services to patients while they are hospitalized and arranges for necessary follow-up care upon discharge from the Hospital.
• Makes daily rounds on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Program.
• Conducts a history and physical examination within twelve (12) hours of the patient’s assignment to the Hospitalists’ Program and have the history and physical note dictated within 24 hours of admission.
• For patients admitted through the Nocturnal Hospitalists Program, Physician shall dictate the admission note on the stat line upon admission.
• Provides physician services to medical patients who are admitted to the Hospital by their attending physician as necessary to manage a medical crisis or change in the patient’s medical condition if the patient’s attending physician is not on the premises or is otherwise unavailable.
• Physician shall consult with the patient’s attending physician as necessary in a timely fashion.

Physician Position Requirements:

• Must have a current and valid license to practice in the state of New York.
• Hold and maintain current, valid and unrestricted federal and state registrations to prescribe and dispense controlled substances.
• Must attain active staff Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges appropriate to duties responsibilities.
• Must complete Medical Staff credentialing at the time of hire.
