Medical Assistant

Position Summary As a Medical Assistant, you will balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow of the office while providing support to the physician throughout all facets of medical procedures – before, during, and after. You will also ensure that patients receive an excellent service experience. Position Details Location: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday work in our New Orleans clinic. Schedule: Part‑time with one Saturday shift per month. Compensation: $22.00‑$25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Must be able to train out‑of‑state for the first two weeks; travel expenses paid by company. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with completion of forms. Become familiar with clinic computer hardware and software and comply with company policies. Answer multiple‑line and multiple‑language telephone lines. Schedule appointments and accommodate patient appointment needs, including arranging transportation and rescheduling. Perform clerical work as needed, such as copying, filing, and faxing. Maintain procedure rooms, ensuring they remain neat and ready for use. Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures in accordance with instructions and individual doctor preferences. Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward. Ensure patients receive post‑procedure instructions and guidance on obtaining medication if needed. Prepare IV solution. Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations. Train new staff and assist ultrasound staff as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred. Two to three years of experience as a Medical Assistant. High school diploma or equivalent. Benefits Health insurance. Retirement plan.
