Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to provide surgical nursing care in a fast-paced operative environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient condition and provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care.
• Assist surgeons and medical staff during operative procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during surgery.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EMR system.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding call-outs, RTO requests, and scheduling requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State RN license; application in progress acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR nursing experience, with strong ortho expertise.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• Demonstrate critical-thinking skills and adaptability in a clinical setting.
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow detailed procedural protocols.
• Willingness to complete a telemetry test onsite during orientation.
