Senior Family Law Litigation Attorney

Our firm is seeking an exceptional senior family law litigation attorney to join and help lead a high-level family law practice handling complex, high-conflict, and high-stakes domestic cases. This is not an entry-level litigation role, nor is it a position for someone looking to simply manage a standard caseload. We are looking for a true courtroom lawyer — someone capable of handling the most difficult and emotionally charged family law matters with confidence, precision, strategic judgment, and leadership. The ideal candidate is a seasoned family law litigator with substantial trial experience, strong command presence, and the ability to lead both clients and attorneys through extraordinarily challenging cases. This attorney will serve as a senior figure within the firm, helping oversee litigation strategy, mentor younger attorneys, and maintain the high standards our clients expect in complex domestic litigation. The Right Candidate Will Have Experience Handling: High-conflict divorce litigation Complex custody disputes Significant equitable distribution/property division matters Business valuation and hidden asset cases Domestic violence and emergency custody proceedings High-income and complex support cases Difficult opposing counsel and emotionally volatile litigation environments Multi-day trials Expert witness preparation and cross‑examination What We Are Looking For: Is highly skilled in litigation and courtroom advocacy Can independently manage sophisticated and high‑exposure family law cases Exercises mature judgment under pressure Has the confidence and ability to take difficult cases to trial when necessary Can think strategically several moves ahead Maintains professionalism and composure in contentious situations Possesses excellent negotiation and settlement skills, while also being trial‑ready at all times Can mentor and develop younger attorneys and legal staff Has the leadership ability to help oversee and elevate a growing litigation team Understands that family law requires both exceptional legal skill and emotional intelligence Preferred Qualifications Board Certified Specialist in Family Law 10‑15+ years of substantial family law litigation experience Significant first‑chair trial experience Demonstrated success in handling complex contested matters Experience supervising or leading attorneys Strong reputation for professionalism and ethics Exceptional writing, advocacy, and analytical skills About the Role: This position is ideal for a highly accomplished family law attorney who still enjoys practicing law at the highest level and wants to be part of an elite domestic litigation practice.
