Must-Have:
Experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more)
Experience in critical care
Not worked in any similar facility in the past year
Preference for RRTs over CRTs
Description:
The position involves caring for general medicine, intermediate, and ICU patients.
The team provides approximately 26-28 treatments per day using the AARC point system.
Primary ventilators used include Servo U, Servo i, and LTV.
Bipap and Cpap equipment includes ResMed S9.
Heated high flow systems are provided by Fisher Paykel.
There is a team lead on each shift, who serves as a resource and does not take an assignment.
Hospitalist and intensivist services are available 24/7.
Weekend shifts include every other weekend, covering both Saturday and Sunday.
Holiday shifts require coverage every other holiday.
There is no call or standby call requirement.
No floating to other departments is expected within respiratory therapy.
Scrub colors are flexible; scrubs are not provided.
The first 12 hours of training will cover department specifics and necessary equipment.
Subsequent training days will involve working with a preceptor before operating independently.
