The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Hospital, one of our proud Magnet® designated hospitals, is a verified American College of Surgeons' Level I Trauma Center. We are a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and a cardiac receiving center. We are a high-volume ED treating a variety of medical and cardiac conditions with 46 beds and approximately 58,000 visits per year. We are the home of Flight for Life® Colorado and surrounding areas bring around 1,000 patients from medical to trauma. We are a desirable department as we are the Premier Level I ED, Emergency Services Association Lantern Award recipient, providing exemplary care, ANCC equivalent of a Magnet, and we attract the best and brightest as an exemplary model department, recognized on national level of being the top one percent. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:

Education Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs

Experience Requirements

• One year RN ED experience
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Licenses/Certification Requirements

• RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• BLS from AHA
• ACLS from AHA
• ENPC or PALS required
• NIHSS required
• NRP required
• TNCC required (or within one year from hire)

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
