Inova Alexandria Hospital Operating Room is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist 3 to join the team. This role will be full-time days/nights 40 per week (x2) 8hr 11am-7pm & (x2) 12 hr 7am-7pm   |Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.

Surgical Technologist 3 J ob Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate preventative and corrective actions.
\n
• Anticipates the need for unscheduled procedures or unanticipated turn of events during a surgical procedure.
\n
• Demonstrates superior knowledge in stressful and emergency situations.
\n
• Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.
\n
• Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities. 
\n
• Accepts responsibility for judgments and actions.
\n
• Supports and participates in departmental goals, educational programs, and QI process.
\n
• Documents evidence of at least 40 hours of self-development activities with a minimum of 12 formal contact hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

\n
• \n

  Education: High School or GED

\n
• \n

  Experience: Two (2) years’ Surgical Technologist experience. 

\n
• \n

  Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.  

\n
• \n

  Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT. Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• \n

  Experience: Surgical Technologist experience with (Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, Vascular, Thoracic).
