Kitting Speacialist Position, Start immediately,

$20/hr - $21/hr, weekly pay

Description:

• Lead an assembly team of up to 20 employees to build production orders that meet cost, quantity, bill of material, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Align daily and weekly workload plans with assembly leadership to ensure production targets are achieved within budget.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost per unit by 5–10% annually.
• Train and onboard temporary labor using the established 30/60/90 day onboarding plan, ensuring they meet quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain a temporary labor productivity rate at or above 95% of standard output.
• Lead two or more production lines simultaneously while consistently meeting daily production quotas.
• Ensure on-time completion of production schedules with a high level of schedule adherence.
• Demonstrate flexibility by supporting weekend and second-shift operations as required by production needs.
• Adhere to operational procedures and promote a safe, organized warehouse environment for all team members.
• Conduct routine safety checks and ensure that any required corrective actions are completed within 24 hours.
• Hold team members accountable for compliance with 5S, personal protective equipment (PPE), and operational procedures.
• Interpret and execute production and work orders with complete accuracy to avoid errors and delays.
• Identify and recommend improvements to production orders to enhance clarity, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.
• Work to reduce production-order-related delays or rework by improving processes and documentation.
• Audit kits with a high degree of accuracy and resolve inventory shortages or overages within 24–48 hours.
• Complete production orders, enter receipts, and log labor data accurately, ensuring zero critical data errors.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation to support production traceability, reporting, and compliance.
• Obtain onsite certification for powered lift equipment within the required timeframe.
• Safely move pallets and materials with zero handling incidents, supporting a safe work environment.
• Support material flow improvements that reduce line downtime due to shortages and improve overall productivity.
• Use RF scanners to pick, kit, and track inventory and production orders as required.

Pay & Shift:

• 1st shift Monday to Friday 6AM to 3PM
• Pay is based on experience $20/hour to $21/hour.

This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr.
