You’ll be the primary onsite RN, serving approximately 500 students at each location. Recent school nursing experience is essential, as you’ll be addressing a variety of student health needs, collaborating with staff, and upholding high standards of care and safety. Since this role covers two campuses, it’s important that you’re comfortable with the commute between them.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• Demonstrated RECENT experience in K-12 school nursing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Confident working independently on campus.
• Skilled in health assessments, care planning, and emergency response.
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
• Reliable transportation and comfort commuting between two Chicago locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to students on-site.
• Managing student health records in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Responding promptly to health emergencies or incidents.
• Serving as a resource for health education and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators on student needs.
