Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center has an open Business Unit Leader position. Responsibilities include leading business unit P&L performance. Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals and objectives to meet all aspects of the control tower including, MFA, safety, employee engagement, quality, delivery, and cost. Qualified candidates will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building. They will be able to communicate effectively, have strong strategic leadership and business acumen. They will excel at forward thinking and insure the entire unit is customer focused enabling it to meet the demands of a difficult manufacturing environment. What You Will Do: The individual will lead a group of production cell leaders, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers, to redefine processes, execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations. Drive World-class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. Delegate effectively to develop personnel and balance the workload Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Effectively coach employees to improve performance when needed. Effectively communicate with other department personnel ensure smooth production flow and customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities Control quality, productivity to achieve monthly delivery plans that align with customer needs and satisfy financial obligations Drive continuous improvement initiatives and utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair. Qualifications You Must Have: University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments. This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
