Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our 5-Axis machining team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience setting up, operating, and conversationally programming 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, the ability to work to tight tolerances, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts while meeting production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines , including Hurco, Mazak, and ROEDER, using setup sheets.
- Conversationally program, set up, and operate Hurco 5-Axis machines using WinMax software at the machine console.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Produce both one-off and batch production components.
- Ensure production targets are met according to the manufacturing schedule.
- Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the machining process.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of CNC machining experience (Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred).
- Extensive experience setting up, operating, and conversationally programming Hurco milling machines .
- Hands-on experience with 5-axis machining is required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to machine components to sub-0.05 mm tolerances with minimal supervision.
- Experience machining graphite is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
