Certified Tumor Registrar

To support cancer registry operations remotely, the part-time Certified Tumor Registrar will ensure compliance with facility needs and state regulations while working under the direction of the Senior Cancer Registrar. Key responsibilities Comply with cancer registry operations and maintain accurate records as per state and Commission on Cancer requirements Utilize tumor registry coding principles and medical terminology to ensure data accuracy and integrity Collaborate with healthcare teams to support accreditation standards set by the American College of Surgeons and Commission on Cancer Required qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience for candidates with an Associate's degree or coding program certificate; 5 years for those with a high school diploma Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association Extensive knowledge of cancer registry coding principles and accreditation standards Previous registry management experience preferred
