RN Nursing Supervisor - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift

Role Overview The RN Nursing Supervisor for Labor and Delivery is a leadership position responsible for coordinating patient care activities to ensure quality outcomes. They oversee the nursing unit, particularly in a 17-bed Labor and Delivery unit offering 24-hour OB services, including anesthesia, triage, operating rooms, and high-risk care. The supervisor assumes administrative duties in the absence of the Nurse Manager, supporting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the labor and delivery unit to facilitate high-quality patient care. Coordinate staff activities and ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies. Support clinical staff and promote a collaborative work environment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a California RN license. Minimum of 3 years' experience in labor and delivery or related specialty. Experience as a RN Supervisor, Charge RN, or Relief Charge RN preferred. Completion of in-house or 1-year labor and delivery training. Preferred certifications: NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, RNC-OB or C-EFM, Lactation training. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
