Senior Accountant

Job Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Accountant, located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The role involves a wide range of duties in the nonprofit industry, including grant process management, accounting, and financial reporting. The ideal Senior Accountant will join a committed team and contribute to the efficient financial operations of their organization. The Senior Accountant must have operational accounting experience (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Payroll) through Financial Statement Preperation. Non Profit & grant accounting experience is required. Responsibilities: Oversee the grant process, including applications, reporting, and compliance with federal, local, and state regulations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Conduct regular bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare and maintain monthly schedules of prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, restricted fund balances, and other necessary accounts. Develop and adjust budgets, coordinating budgeted funds, and processing requests for expenditures. Oversee the organization's budgets and report back to funders regarding spending as required. Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system. Prepare monthly financial statements and other required reports. Analyze and report any apparent budget shortfalls and provide updated budget projections as needed. Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor. Requirements: Must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accountant role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
