Claims Adjuster - Attorney Represented Injury

As a claims adjuster specialist , you’ll play a critical role managing attorney represented bodily injury (BI) claims. An ideal candidate will have experience managing an inventory independently, experience assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, as well as working independently and directly with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims. This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in‑office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month. Duties & Responsibilities Determines coverage and liability Negotiates with claimants or their attorneys Settles claims and sets reserves Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents Analyzes and interprets medical reports, follows up with no‑fault parties, and manages claims process to ensure efficient resolution Interviews, collects, and documents information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police Must‑have Qualifications Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR One year in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree Current or prior Missouri Injury Experience Required Preferred Skills Auto and/or commercial insurance experience Compensation $68,804 - $84,048 based on experience Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance Benefits 401(k) with dollar‑for‑dollar company match up to 6% Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care Wellness & mental health programs Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance Paid time off, including volunteer time off Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long‑term disability Parental & family leave; military leave & pay Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups Career development & tuition assistance Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Progressive Insurance
