We are committed to fostering an environment where talented, compassionate people are united in bringing the most advanced care to our neighbors throughout the region.Join a nationally recognized pediatric cardiac critical care team.Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is seeking APPs to join our highly specialized Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) team.As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work collaboratively with pediatric cardiac intensivists, congenital heart surgeons, cardiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care for infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital and acquired heart disease.This position offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity environment while contributing to innovative patient care, education, and quality improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive histories and physical examinationsDevelop differential diagnoses and treatment plansManage critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in collaboration with attending physiciansOrder, interpret, and integrate diagnostic testingPerform evidence-based clinical management and therapeutic interventionsFacilitate admissions, transfers, and dischargesCoordinate care across disciplines and care settingsProvide patient and family-centered education and supportDocument care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health recordParticipate in quality improvement, professional development, and scholarly activitiesQualificationsRequiredFor Nurse Practitioners:Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCertification as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)Eligibility for Tennessee licensure and credentialingFor Physician Assistants:Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programNCCPA certificationEligibility for Tennessee licensure and credentialingPreferred QualificationsPrevious Advanced Practice Provider experience in pediatric critical care, cardiac critical care, or acute careNew graduate CPNP-AC candidates with pediatric RN experienceNew graduate PA candidates with EMT experience and/or pediatric clinical rotation experienceStrong interest in pediatric cardiac critical careWhy Vanderbilt?A collaborative multidisciplinary practice environmentOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationParticipation in research and quality initiativesLeadership development opportunitiesMentorship Program for new graduate APPsA vibrant and growing healthcare community in Nashville, TennesseeRelocation available for candidates over 100+ miles from Nashville, TN
