Lawn Care Technician

Lawn Care TechnicianThe Lawn Care Technician has a primary role of completing contracted quarterly treatments throughout the landscape season. In addition, this position is expected to identify, diagnose and treat client properties for additional plant and turf concerns.Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete appropriate fertilizer and pesticide applicationsComplete winterization to include installing deer fence and burlap wrappingCommunicate with clients regarding applications used during a visit via electronic door tagAccurately clock in and out using company time management systemNavigate and utilize the Aspire system to manage and complete work ticketsSafely operate a truck with an attached trailerRead, interpret, and follow product labels and instructionsIdentify and report operational concerns to the Operations ManagerMaintain daily communication with the Operations Manager regarding assigned tasks and job progressAdhere to established schedules and complete work in a timely mannerParticipate in snow removal operations (if applicable)Education & TrainingExperienced and Licensed (G1, G2 and Cat B) preferred ORObtain G1, G2 and Cat B applicator licenses within first 45 days of employmentParticipate in continued education opportunities within your field of expertiseSkills & AbilitiesTurf identificationIdentification and diagnoses of insect/disease/cultural issues in lawnsTake site measurements as neededUse proper resources when faced with new challenge or issueAbility to properly calibrate equipmentOperate aerator, ride on spreader as well as other landscape toolsKnow and adhere to NH DES rules and regulations regarding application on water front propertiesAbility to read and decipher Safety Data Sheets and LabelsProper use of hand tools and equipmentUse proper time managementWork independentlyUse safe work practices at all timesExcellent communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to follow directionsOther RequirementsLift and carry up to 50 lbs. independentlyWalk for 75% of the day with up to 10 lbs. being carried on backStand for 15% of the daySquat, sit, kneel, bend for 10% of the dayPush/Pull up to 75 lbs. independentlyGood peripheral vision for drivingUse smart phones, tablets, and other technologyPossess a valid driver's licenseHave a clean driving recordAdhere to company policies and safety practicesBenefitsFull Time Employees have access to company Sponsored Health, Vision, and Dental plans.
