Veterinary Technician Supervisor VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center is seeking an experienced credentialed Veterinary Technician Supervisor for our busy and growing 24 hour emergency department in Norwalk, CT. We are a fast paced, AAHA accredited, 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital. With multiple specialty departments—ER/ICU, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Cardiology—our newly renovated facility offers a dynamic environment for learning and growth. We provide monthly training on leadership, human resources, empathy, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Supervisors collaborate with 10 additional specialty hospital supervisor teams to share knowledge and build effective, fulfilled teams. Veterinary Technician Supervisor Responsibilities Full Technician Skill Utilization Work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services. Coach associates based on specific needs to aid in their success. Travel regionally as required. Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance. Provide performance feedback and collaborate with leadership to develop improvement plans. Support associates in career development via VTNE guidance, licensure assistance, and scheduling. Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge. Potential Schedule Monday – Friday, some weekends. Compensation $38.00 – $45.00 per hour based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.
