Job Title: Locum - Physician - Radiology - Interventional


Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to provide coverage at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The ideal candidate will handle hospital-wide IR procedures, stroke-related CT scans, and outpatient imaging needs, including contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies. This position offers the opportunity to work in a General Acute Care Hospital setting with a focus on diagnostic and interventional radiology in a fast-paced environment.


Schedule & Availability:

• Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Dates: July 10, 13-17, 27-31; August 3, 31; September 4; October 2, 5-9; November 23-27, 30; December 4; December 21-25, 28; January 1

Duties & Procedures:

• Hospital coverage, IR procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, biopsies (thyroid, lung, other)
• Stroke CT interpretation and ED/ICU imaging studies
• Imaging support for outpatient building involving contrast-enhanced CTs and MRIs, including breast biopsies

Support & Resources:

• EMR: Cerner
• Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and technologists; overflow reads supported by a large Sacramento radiology group

Qualifications:

• Proven procedural skills in acute care imaging, including stroke CTs and ED imaging studies
• Ability to perform required IR procedures and biopsies

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $575.00 - $625.00
• Orientation: $287.50 - $312.50 (paid after first 8 hours of orientation/training)
• Holiday Rate: $862.50 - $937.50 (1.5x hourly rate)
