Position Description

Gresham! Day/Swing Shift DSP; Sunday - Tuesday; 1000am - 800pm; 30 hours per week, full-time and great benefits too!

We're hiring compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with disabilities live more independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. In this role, you'll provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and community involvement while promoting dignity, respect, and personal choice every day.

DSPs play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their goals, build confidence, and participate fully in their communities. If you're patient, caring, and passionate about making a positive difference, we'd love to hear from you.

DSPs play a foundational role in delivering CSI's services across the Portland area.

What you will do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):

Ultimately, the goal is to help the people you support, feel and become as independent as possible, while they live their daily lives. Among other things, you will:

• Support people with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, household routines, and community access.
• Encourage choice, decision-making, and confidence in everyday activities.
• Assist individuals in developing life skills that promote greater independence.
• Build positive, respectful relationships based on dignity and person-centered support.
• Help create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments at home and in the community.
• Promote participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Follow and help to implement individualized support plans and document progress.
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Provide encouragement while respecting each person's goals, preferences, and abilities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, and actively participate in team meetings and collaborative discussions.
• Comply with all applicable regulations, organizational policies, and procedures related to providing services and support to individuals with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• No experience, don't worry we'll train you!
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license required for day and swing positions
• Acceptable background check
