Note: Candidates must be admitted to the Virginia Bar and possess meaningful experience practicing in Virginia state courts. Attorneys with 2+ years of experience will be considered if they have substantial courtroom experience. Job Description Manage complex business and commercial litigation matters from filing through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings. Argue motions in Virginia Circuit Courts and other state courts. Take and defend fact and expert depositions. Develop and execute litigation and discovery strategy. Manage client relationships and provide strategic guidance. Prepare cases for bench and jury trials. Serve as lead counsel where appropriate. Collaborate with experienced trial attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters. Deliver exceptional advocacy and client service. Qualifications Active Virginia Bar admission required. 6+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; exceptional candidates with 2+ years and significant courtroom experience will be considered. Substantial experience practicing in Virginia Circuit Courts. Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage litigation matters from start to finish. Excellent judgment and client-management skills. Book of business welcomed but not required. Backgrounds in commercial litigation, business litigation, construction litigation, professional liability, or general civil litigation are highly desirable.
