RN OB Trauma

Job Summary The Trauma Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care. In partnership with medical providers, the RN recognizes and reacts to emergent situations, assists in surgical site verification, and serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response. Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification. Qualifications Texas State RN license or compact license required. BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC; NRP certifications required; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required; advanced fetal monitoring course every 2 years; specialty certification preferred.
