Staff Accountant

Richmond Association of REALTORS® / CVR MLS / Partnership for Housing Affordability Status: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, systems-minded Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support the accounting operations of multiple related entities, including a trade association, MLS company, and nonprofit partner organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accountant with strong technical training who wants meaningful accounting experience, exposure to multi-entity operations, and a healthier work/life balance than traditional public accounting. The ideal candidate is someone who could succeed in a high-performing public accounting environment but is looking for a collaborative, mission-driven organization where they can grow over time. This role will be a key owner of day-to-day accounting activity, including accounts payable, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, cash activity, document management, and month-end close support. The position will also help strengthen accounting processes, improve systems, and build scalable workflows across the finance function. Key Responsibilities The Staff Accountant will support accounting operations across multiple entities, with responsibilities that may include: Accounts Payable and Vendor Activity Record vendor invoices accurately and timely. Ensure proper coding by entity, department, program, and account. Support payment processing and liability fulfillment. Interact with vendors regarding invoice and payment matters. Assist with vendor analysis and year-end Form 1099 preparation. Maintain appropriate documentation and support internal control processes.
