Data Engineer - Data Warehouse & Analytics

Salary: $93,100 - 122,500 per year Requirements:

• We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• We require at least 4 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, database development, or a similar technical area.
• We require experience building Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• We require experience developing ETL/ELT solutions using SQL Server and other Microsoft data technologies.
• We value Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) and Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).
• We consider experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, data analytics, and business intelligence certifications to be a plus.
• We are looking for strong capability in data engineering, data warehouse architecture, SQL development, ETL/ELT pipeline development, data integration, BI administration, data modeling, DAX, governance, security, quality management, problem solving, and stakeholder communication.

• We design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational decisions.
• We manage the structure, architecture, and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• We build scalable data solutions that combine information from property management systems, financial applications, and other critical business platforms.
• We assess source-system data structures and apply modeling approaches that improve report performance, consistency, and usability.
• We establish data standards, naming conventions, documentation, and best practices to support long-term maintainability and scalability.
• We monitor data quality and resolve issues affecting data integrity.
• We develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reporting structures for enterprise reporting needs.
• We create efficient DAX calculations, measures, and relationships, and troubleshoot Power BI performance, dataset, and report calculation issues.
• We set and uphold Power BI governance standards, security controls, and development best practices.
• We monitor platform usage and look for ways to improve performance, adoption, governance, and user experience.
• We define standards for report development, naming conventions, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• We partner with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and turn business requirements into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• We support users with dashboards, reporting tools, and data interpretation while promoting governance and best practices.
• We identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, stronger reporting, better data access, and emerging technologies.
