Community Relations Rep Assisted Living

Sales Professional
The primary function of this sales professional role is to develop early and appropriate referrals by creating and sustaining business partnerships with referral sources supporting Assisted Living Communities and Senior Living.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating the principles of the sales process in a health care environment.
- Managing assigned territory, conducting sales calls and presentations, and generating referrals by building long term business relationships and contacts.
- Developing clinical knowledge base to support sales activities.
- Identifying and developing new referral sources.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating quarterly and annual territory plans, strategies, and actions to achieve negotiated goals.
- Building relationships with the Health Care Center staff teams to ensure the establishment of effective communication with referral sources and the staff teams.
- Performing other duties as required by supervisor.
- Analyzing territory, establishing sales goals, and writing sales plans.
- Identifying territory assumptions which may influence the achievement of sales goals.
- Identifying key referring physicians and personnel in hospitals, nursing homes, managed care operations, and the community.
- Identifying and maintaining existing relationships with competitive Health Care organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians.
- Determining vulnerabilities of competitive relationships and setting targets.
- Collaborating with facility Administrator & team in plan development and implementation; providing written plan of action.
- Developing specialty markets and plans of action.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting the plan as needed. Evaluating performance against the plan.
- Completing and submitting activity reports as requested by Administrator or Supervisor.
- Developing plan for accounts management with input from teams.
- Establishing objectives for each call and evaluating results.
- Implementing strategies and actions which include effective sales calls, presentations, and use of collateral materials.
- Supporting, assisting, and participating in promotional activities.
- Completing call reports.
- Documenting and reporting complaints and service related issues; resolving as appropriate.
Minimum education required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum experience required: Five (5) years' experience in Healthcare Sales/Marketing, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Additional qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
