Responsibilities Perform services on customer sites, including installation supervision, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, modification of Gutor UPS systems and batteries. Work on both onshore and offshore sites, nuclear and other environments, while remaining in direct contact with the customer. Serve as the link between the customer and Gutor’s technical and commercial Customer Service teams. Provide after‑sales support as part of the OEM service team. Commission, repair, and maintain Gutor equipment, and oversee the work of third‑party personnel across multiple client locations throughout North and South America. Promote Gutor services and products to customers on the field, generating sales through FSE Leads. Complete work safely and be responsible for onsite safety, ensuring that no personnel or property is endangered. 75% domestic and international travel required to various unanticipated worksite locations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in field services or related occupation. Experience working with multiple units simultaneously, including UPS, SDC, Modulars, PXP, and Batteries, to ensure units operate as designed and performance is coordinated efficiently. Ability to train engineers to troubleshoot and perform battery maintenance, repairs, system upgrades, and parts replacements. Knowledge of electronic theory to perform regular safety procedures, troubleshoot alerts, and replace parts. Familiarity with safety protocols including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE usage, risk assessment, tool handling, environmental awareness, and safety recommendations to ensure a secure working environment. Skill in handling and maintaining UPS systems through multiple service stages—performing maintenance, managing spare parts, extending equipment life, troubleshooting, and providing training to customers. Capability to provide round‑the‑clock technical support, analyze complex situations, and deliver effective remote solutions to resolve incidents promptly.
