AML/BSA Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AML/BSA Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. Duties:

• Responsible for fulfilling the Anti-Money-Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act requirements through identification and investigation of suspicious activity
• Analyze customer account transactions to detect suspicious activity and make decisions on appropriate action to take
• Work cooperatively with business line to establish procedures for identifying suspicious customer transactions, specific to money laundering, including the proper method for reporting such activity to the anti-money-laundering group
• Provide guidance, support, and recommendations to business lines regarding customer AML risk ratings and account activity
• Based on the outcome of the investigation, analyze and determine whether or not a Suspicious Activity Report (SARs) must be filed with the Federal Government for any identified suspicious activity
• Work cooperatively with internal departments, financial institutions, and local, state or federal authorities to obtain and analyze necessary info
• Must have a Fraud/Financial Crimes background
• Someone with banking knowledge/experience is a plus
• Would be nice to have someone with a working understanding of a production-based team, working on deadlines, the importance of multi-tasking, and being able to collaborate with others for the greater good of the team/department

• Majority of the team is based in Minneapolis, while some are in Charlotte, Knoxville, and Chicago
• The manager has a team of analysts and Senior analysts; The senior analysts are an extension of the manager as a team leader and they assist in teaching, reviewing, training, and backing the manager up
• The contractor positions are analysts where their day-to-day focus is on the production of alert working; They have a daily average goal, and they are measured on their production and overall quality, with a ramp up period as they begin training and shadowing and easing their way into production environment

• Primarily full time in office
• There is potential, down the line, for the ability to work a hybrid schedule, but that would not occur until after training
