This is a fast-paced, multi-tasking role where no two days look the same, and where your ability to stay calm, follow through, and take ownership makes a direct impact on patients and the clinical team.What We Offer:Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time OffFamily Building and Parental Leave Benefits401(k) with employer matching up to 4%Structured onboarding with a 30/60/90-day development plan and ongoing support from clinic leadershipClear growth pathways; many of our front desk team members have advanced into clinic management, operations, and leadership rolesA collaborative team culture where no one is left on an island; you'll have access to leadership and a built-in buddy system across clinic locationsResponsibilities:Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sourcesManage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone callsReview, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information, creating or updating patient records, and helping patients understand next stepsKeep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, working waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up with patients who need future visitsCollect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking or reconciliation when neededProtect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentationQualifications:You don't need a healthcare background to be great in this role — but you do need to be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes ownership of your work. If you've worked in any customer-facing role and want to build a career in healthcare, we want to hear from you.High School Diploma or GED required1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role, this could include retail, hospitality, call center, medical reception, or any setting where you regularly interacted with the public in person or over the phoneDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at once while staying organized and detail-orientedComfortable and confident communicating on the phone, including handling upset or frustrated callers with patience and professionalismBasic computer proficiency: comfortable learning new systems, navigating scheduling software, sending emails, and working in spreadsheetsNo prior medical experience required — we provide comprehensive training including EMR navigation, insurance fundamentals, scheduling workflows, and phone etiquetteAbout:Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 per hour, based on experience.Schedule: Part-Time 30 hours per week, Monday through FridayLocation: 1562 Hwy 24/87 Cameron, North Carolina 28326Confluent Health, LLC and its affiliates are equal opportunity employers committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
