Construction Manager, Structural - Memphis

Job Description

Job Description

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.

SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next. We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead mission-critical build efforts for our data center in Memphis, Tennessee. As a key on-site leader, you'll bring credibility, expertise, and steady leadership to fast-paced, high-impact projects. You'll own site relationships, collaborate with technical and construction teams, and report to central construction leadership, with potential shifts in reporting lines as projects evolve. If you thrive on hands-on leadership, complex structural construction, and contributing to high-impact AI infrastructure, join us to help deliver one of the most advanced data centers in the world.

• Align construction schedules with xAI's broader infrastructure goals through cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner with teams to guide commissioning and resolve issues efficiently.
• Deliver regular updates using well-designed KPIs and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the project meets technical and quality standards outlined in the base design.
• Perform quantity take-offs and field verifications to monitor progress and support reporting.
• Manage change orders, identifying solutions to minimize unnecessary changes and control costs.
• Lead site safety initiatives, fostering a consistent and effective safety culture.
• Adapt to evolving needs, supporting cross-functional partners as required, regardless of original job scope.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
