Research Scientist II

We are seeking a Research Scientist II to join a dynamic R&D team focused on advancing nucleic acid science and developing next-generation genomics products. This role is ideal for a scientist with strong laboratory experience in molecular biology, genomics, and nucleic acid research who enjoys designing experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to innovative research initiatives.

Position Summary

The Research Scientist II conducts bench scientific experimentation that advances the basic science of nucleic acids and nucleic acid biochemistry and supports the development and characterization of new genomics products in NGS, qPCR, and functional genomics .

The successful candidate will plan and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, prepare technical reports, present findings, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to advance research objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute molecular biology, cell biology, biochemical, and laboratory-based experiments.
• Analyze experimental data and identify next steps for research objectives.
• Support development and characterization of genomics products.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, records, and documentation.
• Prepare technical summaries and reports.
• Participate in collaborative research projects across R&D teams.
• Present research findings and project updates.
• Support technical inquiries and customer-related research activities.
• Introduce and implement new laboratory techniques where appropriate.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
• • Biology
  • Genetics
  • Chemistry
  • Related Life Sciences Field

AND

• 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience

OR

• Master’s Degree in Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, or related life sciences field
• 1+ year of relevant laboratory experience
