PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT / NURSE PRACTITIONER - SCC URGENT CARE

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Urgent Care

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is a licensed practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating patient care in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Duties include assessment, diagnosis, development and implementation of a treatment plan, and evaluation of patient progress.

Perform age?appropriate patient history and physical examinations.

Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.

Prescribe pharmacologic and non?pharmacologic treatments.

Analyze patient data and verify diagnoses.

Develop and implement individualized plans of care.

Facilitate referrals for surgical intervention when appropriate.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.

Provide education to staff, patients, and families.

Maintain a positive workplace culture.

Maintain timely and accurate Electronic Medical Record documentation.

Perform procedures as necessary.

Report to work punctually and stay as needed to support patient care.

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.

Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.

Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.

Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
