Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to support the production of welded frame assemblies and power panel/circuit board product lines. This role will focus heavily on value stream management, manufacturing routers, and optimizing product flow throughout the production process.

The Manufacturing Engineer III will be responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing routers, managing production data within ERP/MRP systems, and ensuring manufacturing processes are structured for efficiency, quality, and throughput. This individual will work closely with production teams, technicians, manufacturing leadership, and quality personnel to support day-to-day manufacturing operations, resolve process issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment. Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining manufacturing routers and work instructions. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product flow, and value stream management. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data entry. Ability to analyze production processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Experience supporting production teams and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing documentation practices. Experience supporting welded frame fabrication and assembly processes. Experience working with electrical assemblies, power panels, or circuit board manufacturing. Aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing experience.
