Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Physical Therapist assists patients in the restoration of physical function through evaluation and treatment.

This role provides a mix of outpatient and inpatient care, with approximately 90% of caseload focused on general orthopedic and neurological outpatient rehabilitation and 10% supporting general acute inpatient services. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across a variety of diagnoses while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team. Participation in a rotating weekend schedule is required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy

*Those licensed after 2016 must have a Doctoral degree. Those who were licensed prior to 2016 are exempt from this requirement as grandfathered under prior IDFPR or MBPT requirement for licensure (which allowed bachelor's/master's degree; the normal industry requirement prior to 2016).

Licenses/Certifications:

• Respective state license in Physical Therapy or has graduated successfully from a professional program, is in receipt of Authorization to Test Letter, is scheduled to test within 60 days of eligibility, and has not failed the licensure exam. After passing licensure exam, state license must be verifiable within one year of hire.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract.

Other skills/knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
