About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU/PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience - Strong skills in critical care - Ability to titrate drips Description: Profile review and manager interview required. Clinician must take and pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts before signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will not be eligible for rehire for 6 months. Radius rule applies: candidates must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN in any affiliated facility within the past year. Experience in both ICU and PCU or medical/surgical units is acceptable for those who have worked in larger facilities. The unit has a total of 10 beds, with patient ratios depending on acuity. ICU ratios are 1:2, PCU ratios are 1:4, and medical/surgical ratios are 1:5-6. The role requires RNs to titrate sedative, vasopressor, and insulin drips. Charge nurses manage multiple inpatient beds, including diverse acuity levels. Nurse aides take 10-15 patients depending on staffing needs. If no aides are available, RNs will provide primary care to 3 patients. Respiratory therapy equipment is available, including ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP. Remote monitor techs support the unit, and RNs are responsible for monitoring cardiac activity. RNs must perform 12-lead EKGs and monitor patients using bedside cardiac monitors. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend and holiday rotation will be fair. Floating to other units may be required based on competency, with advance notice given. Currently, any scrub color except camouflage is acceptable. Unit-specific orientation will be part of the onboarding process. Charting is conducted using a specified electronic health record system. BSN is not required for this position.
